Music Sites
The Rest Is Noise: A blog by Alex Ross, music critic for The New Yorker. If you're a music lover or a cat lover, don't miss Alex's site.
Follow the raging battle between Uptown and Downtown at PostClassic, Kyle Gann's blog, which considers the question, "Is classical music dead?"

Sequenza21: An online new music magazine with music news updates, concert and CD reviews, composers blogs, and sometimes some biting and scratching in the Composers' Forum. Composers Lawrence Dillon and Elodie Lauten consistently have great things to say. It's also where I keep my other blog.

Keep up to date with the ideas of and issues faced by contemporary American composers at NewMusicBox, a must-read new music magazine from the American Music Center. While you're over at AMC, check out the New Music Jukebox, an online library and listening room with access to scores and streaming audio clips from many young (and some not-so-young) American composers.
Another great source for new music by American composers and performers is Art of the States, a site developed by Boston's WGBH radio. Hundreds of high-quality audio streams, extensive program notes, and links to composers, performers, record labels, and publishers.
Kalvos & Damian's New Music Bazaar: A wealth of interviews, archives, playlists, information, and music by scores of great "non-pop" composers and performers.
Record labels: Arizona University Recordings, Cantaloupe, Equilibrium, Innova, Lovely, Mode, Naxos, Tzadik.
